Terms and conditions

Booking procedure:
1) you have already selected a property and want to book it : Please send a booking request to info@florencetostay.com. The property will be optioned for you for 4 days. The down payment  to confirm the booking needs to be received  in this time frame. You will be sent the payment instructions that are: 30% - 50% of the total rental amount to be sent in advance  to the agency  by bank transfer or by paypal.
The balance of the rent will be paid upon your arrival  CASH TO THE OWNER or 45/60 days prior to arrival ( depending on the chosen property)  by bank transfer directly into the bank account of the owner .
2) You will be asked to send  your personal detail's, needed to fill in the apartment's rent confirmation,  such as: name, surname, living address, town, nationality, telephone number, mobile number, email address, passport number, its expiring date and the issuing office, number of adults and number of children
3) Booking is confirmed once Florencetostay.com has received the copy of the bank transfer or the Paypal confirmation  ( you will be emailed with the booking's confirmation)
4) when the payment has been  processed you and the owner of the chosen property, will be sent the apartment's rent confirmation, with all booking details.

Payments to the Owner
Rent:
The balance of the rent has to be paid to the owner. It can be paid by cash on arrival, or by  bank transfer 45/60 days prior to arrival ( kindly note that credit card payments are seldom accepted)
Security Deposit:
The Security Deposit is given to the owner upon your arrival at the apartment: it is required to be cash. The security deposit is, of course, returned to you at the end of your stay, provided that there are no damages and the apartment is left in clean condition.
The amount of the security deposit varies from property to property ( euro 150,00 to euro 1.500,00).Some owners do accept your credit card as guarantee.
Electricity, heating, final cleaning charges
Electricity and heating are usually not included in the rent. They are paid according to use.
Final cleaning charge:
Tenants will find the property  clean and the beds made-up, they  are responsible for their own housekeeping, as properties are self-catered. Most owners do charge the final cleaning separately as they realized that most guests could not do this or did not do this before leaving the property. The fee listed on each property descriptions is based on a stay of up to 7 nights. For longer stays it may be higher.
Internet: it might be subject to a separate charge ( see property's description)

Check-in
The owner or his/her representative will welcome you at the apartment. Checks-in are usually organized between 3pm and 6pm. I advise you to give your estimated arrival time to the owner as soon as you can ( I recommend at least 3 days in advance).
Check-out
The owner or his/her representative will meet you at the apartment on your check-out day. Checks-out are usually organized between 8am and 10am. I  advise you to give your estimated departure time to the owner as soon as you can.
Number of guests
Only the named people on the apartment's rent confirmation may occupy the property. Any change or the addition of extra people  will automatically  bring the contract to an end. Children over the age of two are counted as adults.

Cancellation policy and insurance
Should you need to cancel the booking, the paid amount to confirm the booking is non-refundable. Therefore  you are kindly requested to take a travel insurance to cover this risk.
